Eucharistic Adoration

The Exposition of the Holy Eucharist offers us the privilege to prayerfully reflect and acknowledge Christ’s marvelous presence in the sacrament. Contact:  Church Business Office    972-875-2834 Schedule of Eucharistic Adoration: Wednesdays, from after the 12:05 Mass until the 6:30 PM Mass.

Lectors

A Lector is a proclaimer of the Word of God that gives life to the written word by voicing it in the Liturgy of the Word in the Mass. Any parish member is invited to join this group. Contact:  Fr. John Dick    972-875-2834

Ushers

Ushers assist parish members at Mass and all other necessary celebrations for proper order by finding seats for them, taking up collections, passing out bulletins and other information, and give assistance to the celebrant when necessary.  The ushers also ask parish members to participate in bringing the offertory gifts to the altar during the Mass.  …

Adult Choir

The St. John Adult Choir is a very talented group of parishioners under the direction of Jerry Moran.  Besides singing regularly at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass, the choir presents a musical program for the Christmas Midnight Mass, and provides all the music during Holy Week, especially for the Easter Vigil.  Pieces performed are four-part …

Jerry Moran is the principal organist.  Additional organists/pianists include Pat Haba, Robert Brazier, and Sue Powell.  Any of these musicians may be contacted to play for weddings.  Couples seeking to marry must contact a specific musician to reserve the date (preferably at least 6 months in advance), and to select approved Liturgy music.  All music …
