Parish Bazaar Information

This year’s Bazaar weekend will feature many fun events – all held in the air-conditioned comfort of two of Ennis’ finest halls.   Games booths will not be available during the Bazaar weekend, but we will have plenty of great entertainment and food.  Please help support St. John Nepomucene Parish and join us for these events.

Saturday Night – September 15, 2012 – Knights of Columbus Hall

7:00 PM – Wine, Cheese and Dessert bar

8:00 PM –  Show begins (ends around 10:30 PM)

Late Nite Catechism

You won’t want to miss the opportunity to see this show when it opens up the St. Johns Bazaar weekend!  Call it Loretta Young meets Carol Burnett. This is part catechism class, part stand-up routine. It’s an interactive comedy, one of the longest running shows in Chicago and U.S. theater history.  The New York Times calls it, “hilarious, well-written and inspired.” Jeffrey Lyons from TV’s Sneak Previews calls Late Nite Catechism “something to savor and enjoy….one of the most intimate, rewarding shows in town.”  You, the audience member, are part of Sister’s class. She’ll take you back to the days of the Latin Mass, meatless Fridays, and remind you about that good old ruler across the knuckles!

Admission is $40.00 per includes the wine, cheese and desert reception prior to the show and the show.  Childcare is available for $10, and this covers all children in one family.  Childcare will be held at the parish Cafeteria.  Tickets are available after all Masses, at the parish office, and on the home page of this website.

Wine Pull

$10 buys you the opportunity to select a cork that is associated with a bottle of wine.  Each bottle of wine has a minimum value of $10 – many are worth much more and some even include a gift certificate for dinner at a local restaurant!

Parishioners are asked to donate a bottle of wine with a minimum value of $10.   Wine can be dropped off at the parish office.

Sunday, September 16, 2012 – KJT Hall

Join us at the KJT for the traditional Bazaar lunch featuring delicious bar-b-que, fried chicken, klobase and all the fixings!  The Spanish ministry’s delicious gorditas will also be available.  Lunch will be served at 11:00.  A silent auction and a live auction will also be held, followed by the big raffle drawing.  The festivities will conclude about 4:00 pm.   Raffle tickets and kitchen cards will be mailed very soon.

Donations are needed for live and silent auction items.   If you can donate an item, please contact Evelyn or Yvette Zmolik at 972-875-2791.
