Divine Mercy Sunday
The Second Sunday of Easter, May 1, is Divine Mercy Sunday.
This title was given to the Second Sunday of Easter in 2000 by Pope John Paul II, and this year we will hold a Divine Mercy Devotion at 3:00 PM in the Church on Sunday, May 1.

Beatification of Pope John Paul II
Divine Mercy Sunday is also special this year because Pope John Paul II will be beatified on it. In beatification, a person is given the title Blessed, so after May 1, we will speak of Blessed John Paul II. This is the last step before someone is declared a saint.
Watch the beatification ceremony on EWTN.

Also, we will be showing a movie about the life of Pope John Paul II on Saturday, May 14, at 5:00 PM in the Cafeteria. This movie will be followed by clips from the beatification of Pope John Paul II.
