The preparation of the funeral liturgy provides consolation to the mourners. It is also recommended that family members be involved actively in some of the liturgical roles but not to the point that it may be burdensome. The parish has a funeral ministry that is made up of a core group of individuals who help as readers, extraordinary ministers, choir, altar servers, planners, and vigil leaders.
