Family Faith Formation

PreK - 5th grade and Sacramental Preparation (2nd-5th grade)

Family Formation supports the whole family in learning the truths of our Catholic faith and the joy that comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Parents are “the first and foremost educators of their children” by modeling that Faith and our beliefs do not stop at the door of the church.  We carry it with us and share it with the world everywhere we go.

How Family Formation Works

  • Join us in the school for a Classroom Lesson one Wednesday evening each month, where everyone in the family will have something planned for them.  Children will be divided into two groups and led by catechists to introduce the lessons for the month in age-appropriate ways.  Parents will gather with Father. John or Father Agustin to dive deeper into the month’s lesson so they are equipped to help their children enjoy their at-home learning activities during the month.
  • At each monthly gathering, families will receive their Family Faith Formation packet with weekly activities supporting the lesson for the month.  Find time each week to gather as a family to read, play, and craft while learning about the Mass and immersing the family in the liturgical seasons and reading cycles.

Sacramental Preparation for First Confession and First Holy Communion for 2nd – 5th graders meet monthly. The First Reconciliation and First Eucharist candidate must:

  • Have attended Family Faith Formation the previous year.
  • Currently enrolled in Family Faith Formation.
  • Baptized catholic.
  • Enrolled in 2nd-5th grade at the time of preparation.
